Product Resources

Customers praised this 12W solar fountain pump for its powerful performance and easy installation. The large panel "is highly responsive to almost any amount of sun" with a long cord for flexible placement. Reviews noted it "works great" with adjustable flow and dry-run protection. However, multiple shoppers emphasized it requires direct, full sunlight to operate effectively and stops on cloudy days.

This size pump was perfect for the wishing well

This size pump was perfect for the wishing well we built. 160 GPH was just right for the flow we anticipated. This is the fourth pump we have purchased from poposoap and are very satisfied with their product. Highly recommended.

Powerful little pump!

I was looking for a bigger pump so I could use various fountain heads I previously bought. With a few tube adjustments, it worked for my previous accessories and the spouts this solar pump/fountain came with. The solar panel is a good size and works well. I appreciated the description and what wattage I needed for my fountain (I chose 12 watts). The description helps explain "how high" the fountain will spout with the various wattage. I am pleased with the Poposoap Solar water fountain!

Very satisfied

Works great as long as there is sunlight. Any shadow or clouds shuts the pump off. Would love to find a battery for cloudy days and night running.

Easy to assemble; needs a lot of sun

Not complicated to assemble but needs a lot of strong light to work effectively. I wish it had a battery option or plug in option too.

Hose is a good length

Solar panel is quite large. Made one of those do it yourself fountains with some pots laying around. Did a trial run on driveway in overcast weather. Took it apart and moved it to permanent location and seems to work pretty well during the day so far. Hose is long and can be cut to size. My fountain is not sitting straight do to ground but waterfall is on side I can see.

Good quality solar pump

I bought this to switch out the electric pump in my outdoor water bucket feature. It was easy to set up. There was a mole tubing for the pump. The solar panel islatge enough to charge the unit but small enough to not be noticed from the front.Works great and there's no more electric cord to deal with. The solar panel charges the battery for a full day!Liked it so much I bought another!

I'm a fan!

This is the 2nd POPOSOAP solar water pump I've put in my garden. The first one I put in last year, and it's still working great! It's so simple to set up and use, especially since I've come up with what I think has to be the easiest DIY garden fountain. Get yourself some planter inserts. I intentionally didn't fill in all the gaps so you can see the orange insert. They're perfect because there is a hole directly in the center. The insert sits high enough to allow plenty of room for the water pump underneath. Add rocks to the top and voila! I might add dirt to the larger pot and plant some flowers. I've also discovered that the bubble spout is the most attractive to the birds and will only spill over the edge in a strong wind. Every garden should have a water feature and POPOSOAP is easy, affordable, and just lovely.

Low water protection, even runs in low light!

At first when I took it out of the box it wouldn't run when I hooked it up even in full sun. I almost sent it back until I checked the voltage of the panel and saw that was good. So I immersed the pump in this bucket of water and it started right up. Take it out and it immediately stops running. So it has built in run-dry protection which is nice. If you put it up off the bottom of your pond you can avoid accidentally draining it completely.Even on a heavily overcast day this thing is pumping water and in full sun it's a great fountain. It is easy to change the foam filter and it came with two extras. They are simple to rinse out and you could make some out of any open cell foam if you needed to.The suction cup feet are very aggressive and hold tight. They are easy to lose when you pull the housing off to change the filter so be careful. In all this is a nice little fountain kit.

Holds a charge all day

Long lasting and has lots of power! the solar charger works consistently throughout the day. It took a little bit to put it together and get it organized and it did take one entire day to charge. but now it works really great

Poposoap Solar Fountain Review: Easy Setup, Good Flow, but Sensitive to Shade

This fountain is super easy to set up—very straightforward. I tested it on a sunny day, so I can’t say how well it works in cloudy weather yet, but I’ll update my review once I get the chance. One thing I noticed right away is that, like my Ecoworthy solar fountain, this one is really sensitive to shade. Even a bird flying by can make it stop for a moment, but it starts right back up once the sun hits it again. The water flow is steady, and there’s an adjustable setting on the motor, but honestly, the difference isn’t that noticeable. Plus, since the motor is underwater, I doubt most people will bother changing it often. I got the 12-volt motor, which moves 900 liters per hour (about 237 gallons per hour)—good for keeping the water moving, but the spray height isn’t very high.As for build quality, the motor and nozzle are plastic, while the solar panel has an aluminum frame with what looks like a cardboard backing. The motor casing actually feels sturdier than my Ecoworthy fountain, and it comes with two extra filters, which is a nice bonus. My Ecoworthy has been running strong for over six months underwater, so I’m curious to see how long this one lasts. It feels durable, but time will tell.Final ThoughtsThis is a great little fountain for a small pond or birdbath. It keeps the water moving and adds a nice, relaxing sound to any outdoor space!

Cool solar fountain pump!

This POPOSOAP Solar Fountain Pump is great! I love feeding birds and providing a water source for them. This solar fountain pump keeps the water circulating so it stays desirable for the birds. It came with many accessories that I do not need. It is perfect for many different applications. It may seem a little pricey. But, when you consider that it is solar powered and that it comes with two options for mounting, it is a good deal. I own other POPOSOAP products. I am pleased with its performance.

GREAT water pump with lots of options!

This is a great solar water pump. The panel is large and powerful making for a strong spray. The kit comes with many options of sprayer heads for different designs and aesthetics. There is even an option to use the pump to create custom fountain features.

The assembly and instructions were confusing. The company labeled parts in the manual but not the physical parts. This made the whole thing annoying to put together. Once assembled the pump works instantly when exposed to the sun. However, it does seem to have to be positioned exactly “right” in order to function.

After about a week the pump stopped working unexpectedly and the company was super quick to respond and correct the issue by sending me a new pump. Excellent customer
