What is included in this water fountain basin kit?

It provides the essential equipment needed to build a compact recirculating waterfall or patio water feature without purchasing the pump and filtration system separately.
Is the 660 GPH pump powerful enough for both spillway bowls?
Yes. The included 40W pump delivers a maximum flow rate of 660 GPH and a maximum lift of approximately 8.2 feet. It is designed to circulate water through the two-basin spillway system and create a visible cascading flow.
For the best performance, keep the tubing as direct as possible and avoid exceeding the pump’s maximum lift height.
Can I add fish or aquatic plants to the spillway bowls?
The basins can be decorated with suitable aquatic plants, stones, and other water-safe materials. Small aquatic life may also be added when water depth, temperature, oxygen levels, and local conditions are appropriate. Because each bowl is relatively compact, it should not be treated as a full-size fish pond. Avoid overcrowding, monitor water quality, and make sure plants or decorations do not block the spillway or pump intake.
Does the pump need to remain underwater?
Yes. The included pump is a submersible water pump and must remain adequately covered with water while operating. Running the pump dry can reduce performance and may damage the motor.
Check the water level regularly, especially during hot, dry, or windy weather when evaporation is faster.
How often should I clean the fountain and filter?
Inspect the pump intake and filter components regularly. Cleaning frequency depends on the amount of leaves, algae, dust, fish waste, and other debris entering the water.For routine maintenance:Remove leaves and visible debris from the basins.Rinse the filter pad with clean pond water or dechlorinated water.Remove buildup from the pump intake and impeller.Check the tubing for kinks or blockages.Refill the basins when the water level drops.
Why has the waterfall flow become weaker?
Reduced flow is usually caused by a low water level, a dirty pump intake, clogged filter media, blocked tubing, a kinked hose, or excessive lift height.
Turn off and unplug the pump before inspecting it. Clean the pump and filter, straighten the tubing, refill the basins, and confirm that the upper bowl is not positioned higher than the pump can support.
Is the fountain noisy?
The pump is designed for quiet operation. Most of the audible sound should come from the water flowing between the spillway bowls.
Pump vibration or unusual mechanical noise may indicate a low water level, trapped debris, contact with the side of the basin, or an improperly positioned pump. Repositioning and cleaning the pump will usually reduce unwanted noise.
