It doesn't take an entirely new backyard. Sometimes, just a new idea for the one you have.

Seasonal figures and separate outdoor lights finish the scene. Nighttime pumping needs a separate plan.

03   /   A place to start

A solar kit for your daytime fountain.

Planning a daytime version? POPOSOAP's P3081D offers a solar-powered, filtered fountain solution for small outdoor water features—using a separate solar panel. Its filter box combines circulation, debris filtration and a fountain outlet.

$59.99 Current kit price

8W solar panel
Up to 80 GPH flow
Multi-stage filter box
5 ft flexible tubing

Good to know: P3081D is designed for daytime solar operation; its backup battery does not provide nighttime fountain running. The video's illuminated nighttime setup is shared as creative inspiration; its exact power configuration has not been verified.

Lights and decorations are not included. Keep lighting connections dry and follow their manufacturer’s instructions. Plan nighttime pumping separately: P3081D does not run at night.

the water.

Sunlight, space and a little upkeep. Here’s what to plan before you choose your kit.

Full product details
Will this solar kit run at night like the video?

No. P3081D does not operate at night. Its battery supports daytime operation during changing sunlight, while charge lasts. The film’s exact nighttime power configuration has not been verified; use those scenes as styling inspiration.

What is included, and what do I supply?

The fountain kit includes a solar panel, pump, filter box and filter media, fountain attachments and roughly 5 feet of tubing. Supply your own watertight basin, stable supports, pumpkin, decorations and outdoor lighting. Check the product page for the current packing list.

Will it fit my container or shallow birdbath?

Measure the filter box and the usable submerged space before choosing a vessel. This is a compact pond filter kit, not a floating disc. Keep the entire filter box fully submerged, leave room for returning spray and allow access to the filter lid. A shallow birdbath may not provide enough depth.

Does the solar panel need direct sun?

Yes. Place the separate panel in direct sunlight and keep it clean. Stored energy can bridge some daytime cloud cover, but prolonged weak light or a depleted battery can stop the flow. Shade on the display does not need to mean shade on the panel.

Can I make this display in 10 minutes?

The short film does not establish a total build time. Kit assembly and landscape preparation are separate. Allow extra time for carving, choosing supports, testing the water return and arranging your decorations.

How do I keep water from splashing out?

Start with a gentle, low spray and a broad enough basin. Test in the actual location, including windy conditions, and lower or change the nozzle if water lands outside. Check the water level regularly; recirculating water still needs topping up.

Can I use a real pumpkin all season?

The film uses a carved pumpkin, but it does not establish how long it lasts in water. Check it often for softening and debris, remove it when it deteriorates and keep loose material away from the pump intake. Your seasonal decoration needs its own upkeep.

Can I use the tubing instead of a spray nozzle?

The included tubing gives you another way to route water for a compact DIY feature. Check the outlet connection and test the return path. Flow decreases with added height, long tubing and restrictions, so this small kit is not a choice for a tall, forceful waterfall.

Will the filter make the water maintenance-free?

No. The filter catches debris and supports circulation, but it does not replace regular cleaning. Start with clean water, check the filter weekly at first and clean sooner when debris builds up or flow drops. Keep the entire filter box submerged and remove loose pumpkin pieces.

What should I check if the water stops or weakens?

Check direct sunlight, battery charge, water level and cable connections first. Then check the filter sponge, pump intake, nozzle and any tubing for clogs or kinks. Disconnect the pump from the panel before cleaning, following the supplied manual.

Do the lights come with the fountain?

No. The lights and Halloween decorations in the film are separate. Use lighting rated for your outdoor location and follow its instructions around water. Keep electrical connections dry. The fountain’s daytime battery does not power a nighttime display.

Can I keep the fountain after Halloween?

Yes—you can remove the seasonal decorations and plan an everyday container fountain. Recheck the water depth, panel position and spray return when changing the layout. Follow the product manual for cold-weather storage and ongoing maintenance.
